Overview

Welcome to www.shediacbaycruises.ca. This page explains the Terms and Conditions for the online service (SERVICE) and website (WEBSITE) for Shediac Bay Cruises Inc. (SBC).

We look forward to welcoming you aboard, and wish to provide you with the details of the terms and conditions for your boat tour with us.

Users (USERS) of these SERVICES agree to be bound by this Agreement (AGREEMENT) and the SBC privacy policy.

1.0 Scheduling

Due to weather, demand, private charters and other circumstances beyond our control, cruise schedules are subject to change.

2.0 Reservations

Boat tours are paid at time of booking, and subject to availability.

To book a tour or private charter, visit us online at www.shediacbaycruises.ca, call 1 (506) 532-2175, or visit us in-season at Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf, NB.

3.0Confirmations

Boat tours are pre-paid at time of booking.

Private charters can be scheduled with a partial deposit (Depending on group details), and must be confirmed within ten (10) days of departure.

4.0 Cancellations and refunds

Reservations for tours are non-refundable unless the tour is canceled by SBC due to inclement weather, low passenger count, or other reasons beyond its control.

SBC shall not be required to refund any amount paid by any boat tour participant who must leave a tour prematurely for any reason.

Deposits for private charter reservations are non-refundable.

Private charter reservations that are not confirmed within 10 days of departure are subject to cancellation and forfeiture of deposit by SBC.

In the event a private charter reservation is canceled by SBC due to inclement weather, or other reasons beyond its control, a choice of rescheduling or refund shall apply.

5.0 Payments

The following methods of payment are accepted: Interac debit, MasterCard, VISA, Discover.

All prices are subject to 15% HST

It is customary to give gratuities, subject to your satisfaction of SERVICES rendered.

6.0 Food and beverages

No food or alcoholic beverages can be brought onboard. We reserve the right to terminate bookings without refund in such cases.

In addition to any meal service that may be included with a cruise, a licensed bar (with snacks) is also available (cash or card).

7.0 Children / minors

Children under the age of one (1) may accompany an adult free of charge.

All children under the age of 14, including infants, must be included in the ticketing process and counted as part of the passenger manifest.

All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by, and remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult guardian (18+) for the duration of the cruise.

Guardian(s) are solely responsible for the behavior, safety, and actions of the child(ren) under their care while on board. This includes adherence to safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the crew.

Children under 14 must adhere to all safety regulations provided by the crew, including but not limited to wearing life jackets when instructed, remaining in designated areas, and refraining from actions that may endanger themselves or others.

SBC shall not be held liable for any incidents, accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the failure of the accompanying adult guardian(s) to supervise the child(ren) under their care.

8.0 Accessibility / disability

SBC will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so.

We do have one (1) wheelchair available and regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to passengers for walking, dining, getting on and off vessels, motorcoaches, or other personal needs.

A qualified and physically able companion must accompany passengers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being.

Please note that although there is a ramp that facilitates access to the boat, steps or stairs are required to access various areas of the office and/or vessel, including bathrooms.

To ensure the schedule reflects the additional time required to embark, and that properly trained staff are scheduled for the tour, we ask that guests who require special accommodation to provide us with advance notice.

9.0 Service dogs

SBC will make reasonable accommodations for service dogs and their handlers.

Service dogs must wear appropriate identification and be well-behaved, under control, and harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times while on board.

Service dogs are allowed in designated areas of the vessel, including outdoor decks, as long as they do not obstruct pathways or pose a safety hazard to themselves or others.

Service dog handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their service dogs, including disposing of waste in designated receptacles.

It is the sole responsibility of the service dog handler to ensure that the service dog does not cause any disturbance or harm to other passengers, crew members, or property.

SBC reserves the right to deny boarding or disembarkation to any service dog that poses a threat to the safety or well-being of passengers, crew members, or other service animals.

Shediac Bay Cruises reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee for any damages caused by service dogs or failure to comply with cleanliness requirements.

Shediac Bay Cruises shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by service dogs or their handlers
Service dog handlers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the presence and behavior of service dogs in public spaces, including but not limited to local ordinances and the Accessible Canada Act.

By bringing your service dog aboard Shediac Bay Cruises, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

10.0 Responsibility

SBC accepts no liability or responsibility, whether occasioned by motorcoach, private car, or any other conveyance, for any injury, damages, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect, through the acts or defaults of any company or person, or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, as a result of any cause beyond the control of SBC.

Guests specifically release SBC from any and all claims for loss or damage to property and for personal injuries or death, and from all claims and any loss or delay, arising out of the acts, omissions or negligence of SBC or independent contractors, such as transportation providers, unless prohibited by law.

11.0 Plan ahead

We encourage all passengers to be sun-safe and bring along sun protection and/or a hat if needed.

On cooler days & evenings, we recommend you bring along an additional layer (jacket, sweater) as temperatures can be several degrees cooler on the water.

Don’t forget your camera!

Give yourself ample to arrive, park and check-in.

Wharf access is $4 per vehicle.

12.0 Reservation of rights

SBC reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
